Discover Montmartre

You can’t really say you’ve been to Paris unless you’ve spent time in Montmartre, which was traditionally an area popular with artists. The skyline is dominated by the spectacular Basilica de Sacre-Coeur and this is well worth a visit. Since Montmartre literally translates to mountain of the martyr, you need to prepare yourself for a steep walk. Alternatively, there is a pretty road-train that will spare your legs and lungs. The Basilica is a wondrous experience, and afterwards, you can enjoy a cold drink and take in a panoramic view of Paris. And if you’ve brought a canine friend with you, the little café kindly provides drinking water for your pet.
