Winter can sometimes be brutally cold and sometimes boring especially if you couldn’t go out. But if the weather permits and if you’re in London, there are lots of ways to enjoy winter. Here’s a list of three cheap things to do in London in winter that would surely not cost that much.
Go to the Theater

London is known worldwide for its spectacular theater shows some of which were even shown in other parts of the world. I’ve seen Miss Saigon once in Manila and was blown away on how amazing the act was. The casts were so talented and the stage setup was utterly mind blowing. I regret that I missed Les Miserables though coz my friends said that it was equally fantastic. If you love watching theater and if you’re in London then you have tons of shows to choose from. Some theater tickets could go as low as £18.50 which definitely won’t break your bank.
Ice Skating

Me and my high school friends used to go frequently to an ice skating rink in a local mall. Albeit its small size, I couldn’t deny how fun it was for us learning how to ice skate. Unfortunately for us since we don’t really have winter, we only have one choice of a rink to go to. But if you’re in London, you could have a lot of choices like the one in Canary Wharf, Eyeskate, the rink near the Tower of London and other small skating rinks in the city. The ticket could be as low as £12.50 (depending on where you go).
Festive Fairs

There are a lot of festive fairs that take place on winter and you should check the local magazines or newspapers (and internet) for the actual date and location. This is the best time to sample local cuisines, have fun and of course shop for souvenirs and other knick knacks. I personally love going to markets and fairs in different countries that I go to due to a variety of interesting cheap stuff that I see there.

Is Ice skiing free in London? It wasn’t in Berlin nor in Brussels, so I would go for it when being in London.
not free but not that expensive
I also suggest for this period to go to museums
Some of them have free entrance
thanks for the additional tip
as long as there are drinks after ice skating, I’m in.
