Food is definitely cheap in Vietnam especially if you eat on the street side restaurants that line up the busy streets of Hanoi. Food is even cheaper if you travel outside the cities.
Here are some of the tasty, filling but cheap foods in Vietnam.
A plain baguette will cost you around 2000 Dong, and a baguette sandwich which egg, vegetables and some meat will cost you around 15,000 Dong. I ate this meal everyday. I find it very delicious (and of course cheap).
It’s like eating noodles without the soup. The noodle bun cost 15000 Dong and comes with Tofu and some herbs and vegetables.
A bowl of noodles cost around 20000 Dong. You can choose between chicken, beef, pork or vegetables for the toppings.
You don’t have to worry that much ff you’re travelling in Hanoi with a very small budget because of the variety of cheap foods you’ll find on the streets. These are just some of them, and there’s more to choose from.
